Quota members have been putting scarves, hats, socks and mittens in Lincoln Park all winter.

Quota made a $500 donation to purchase goods to give to Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas.
Marge, Oletha and Sandy did the shopping and added the items to a special collection being made by A Line EDS in Waterloo.

Quota members volunteered at House of Hope to help children make Mother's Day gifts. Pizza and juice was served and many gifts were created for the mothers.

Kathy Buzynski recently delivered 22 casseroles prepared by members to the Catholic Worker House to use over the summer months for the homeless in the community.

Quota members volunteered at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and bagged 300 pounds of pears and 300 pounds of potatoes as well as loaded backpacks.

Quota presented a $1,000 check to Deafnitely Dogs to be used to help fund training of service dogs. These dogs provide support for PTSD victims, diabetic patients, non hearing persons and mobility assistance.

Quota recently presented a $1,000 check to Allen Hospital and a $1000 check to Covenant Hospital to support programs for women and children.

Scholarships totaling $10,000 were awarded to eight students who are either pursuing degrees in Speech Pathology or are hearing impaired.

The Service to Disadvantaged Women & Children distributed over $15,000 in funds to support various programs during this year.

Ginny and Mary attended a luncheon in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 18th to accept a grant award from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Ilinois. Waterloo Quota is honored to be a 2015 Grant recipient. The grant money will go toward purchasing books for the Cops and Kids Program.

Quota Receives Community Foundation Grant!
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa awarded Quota's Cops 'n' Kids Literacy project a $5,000 grant in January. This money will be used to purchase books for school children.

Article regarding Quota's Cops and Kids Program in the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier on 9-17-2015!
Waterloo Cops-N-Kids program presented 403 books to children this summer at various sites. Sites include Becker Elementary, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waterloo and Evansdale, Edison Elementary, EXPO, First Baptist Church, Gardner Park, Jesse Cosby Center, Kittrell Elementary, Lafayette Park, Longfellow Elementary, Phelps Youth Pavilion, Washington Park and the YWCA.
The 67 children who attended Quota’s annual brunch in April were each given a book. In addition, Quota shares books with all the students who attend the Summer Breakfast/Lunch Program sponsored by the Waterloo schools.
Since the beginning of the collaboration between Quota and the Waterloo Police Department in 2004, more than 35,000 books have been given to the elementary school students in Waterloo costing over $65,983. The monies come from grants, club fund raising and donations.
