Article regarding Quota's Cops and Kids Program in the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier on 9-17-2015!

Waterloo Cops-N-Kids program presented 403 books to children this summer at various sites.  Sites include Becker Elementary, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waterloo and Evansdale, Edison Elementary, EXPO, First Baptist Church, Gardner Park, Jesse Cosby Center, Kittrell Elementary, Lafayette Park, Longfellow Elementary, Phelps Youth Pavilion, Washington Park and the YWCA.

The 67 children who attended Quota’s annual brunch in April were each given a book. In addition, Quota shares books with all the students who attend the Summer Breakfast/Lunch Program sponsored by the Waterloo schools.

Since the beginning of the collaboration between Quota and the Waterloo Police Department in 2004, more than 35,000 books have been given to the elementary school students in Waterloo costing over $65,983. The monies come from grants, club fund raising and donations.

UpDate: As of October 2018, over 50,000 books have been distributed to children.
